With flashes of exposed brickwork, original beams and rich wallpapers created by British designers, no two bedrooms are alike at The Crown & Thistle. Sympathetically decorated and comfortably furnished, each of our 18 air conditioned guest rooms offers the usual amenities as well as some exceptional extras. All are finished to a superb standard; every bathroom contains a bathrobe, range of luxury toiletries and a power shower, with many rooms also featuring a free-standing roll-top bath. In addition to a kettle and selection of speciality teas, you`ll find a Nespresso machine with coffee pods, smart HD TV, Roberts Radio, iPod docking station, hairdryer, GHD straighteners and a well-stocked minibar. Iron and ironing board is provided, while free superfast Wi-Fi and a tempting room service menu complete the package.
The Crown & Thistle is a historic, homely and delightfully eclectic venue for both intimate and informal weddings, blessings and civil ceremonies. Our two characterful function rooms, The Barn and the Minstrels Gallery can be hired separately or together.

Travelling
Abingdon is on the A415 between Witney and Dorchester, linked to the M4 and M40 motorways by the adjacent A34 trunk road. There are local bus services from Oxford (5.5 miles) and small railway stations in Culham and Radley, about two miles away.

Our car park is not accessible from Bridge Street. The entrance to our car park is via Abbey Close.
