The Cumberland Inn is a family-run, 5-bedroom traditional pub overlooking the River South Tyne. We offer traditional cider and cask ales, homemade bar meals and welcoming, friendly staff.
Alston is the highest market town in England and is 18 miles from the M6 and the Lake District. The Cumberland Hotel is an ideal stopping-off point on the C2C cycle route and Pennine Way.
The Cumberland Inn has five comfortable bedrooms all of which are en-suite, and our rooms have colour TV, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities and linen, towels and basic toiletries are provided. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in all rooms.

Comprising of three double rooms and two twin rooms, three of these are classified as `family rooms`, with extra single beds and all of our rooms are comfortable and well presented. Our beds are often commented upon for providing the best night`s sleep in ages! With fluffy feather pillows, crisp white linen, and a warm comfortable duvet, we hope you will agree. Some rooms have a shower only. If you require a bath, please state at the time of booking.
