Leave the M25 at junction 28 (Brentwood), and join the A12 signposted to Colchester. Exit the A12 at the Colchester Central turn-off, picking up the A134 signposted to Sudbury. The distance from the A12 turn-off to the club is approximately 8 miles. Once on the A134, pass through the village of Nayland, ignoring any signage to Stoke-By-Nayland. Once in Leavenheath (still on the A134), pass the Hare and Hounds Public House on the right hand side, and continue a further 200 yards turning right on to the B1068. This is signposted Stoke by Nayland and Stoke by Nayland Golf Club. Proceed along the B1068 for approximately 1.5 miles, and the club is located, and signposted on the right hand side.
FROM MIDLANDS / CAMBRIDGE / SUDBURY
Join the A14 at the M1 / M6 junction and travel eastwards towards Cambridge. Continue on the A14 past Newmarket to Bury St Edmunds and exit the A14 at the third exit for Bury St Edmunds signposted A134 Bury St Edmunds / Sudbury. Travel south to Sudbury and remain on the A134 in the Direction of Colchester. Pass through the village of Newton Green and upon reaching the village sign for Leavenheath, turn left onto the B1068 to Stoke by Nayland (also signed for The Stoke by Nayland Club). After approximately 1.5 miles the Club is located on the right.
FROM NORWICH / IPSWICH
Leave Norwich on the A140 and join the A14 in the direction of lpswich. Join A12 in London direction. After approximately 5 miles, take the B1068 signposted Higham and Stoke by Nayland (this is a right turn via a filter across the dual carriageway). Continue along the B1068 passing through the village of Stoke by Nayland. The Stoke by Nayland Club is situated on the left hand side, approximately one mile from the village, towards Leavenheath.

Our Executive Head Chef and his team pride themselves in creating exquisite dishes from around the world, using fresh ingredients sourced locally wherever possible. The Stoke by Nayland Hotel enjoys a long-established reputation for its excellent cuisine, whether catering for large corporate functions, weddings, golf days, intimate private dinners or even the specialist requirements of Premiership football teams.
Lakes Restaurant - The hotel’s newly-refurbished Lakes Restaurant enjoys superb views over the lake and 18th greens of both championship golf courses, the "Gainsborough" and "Constable". The restaurant opens out onto the south terrace which in the summer provides an idyllic area for al fresco dining, pre-dinner drinks and canapes, a barbeque, or simply the perfect place to relax and enjoy the magnificent panoramic scenery. The Lakes Restaurant offers a superb daily menu selection and is open to hotel guests, club members and non-members alike. Opening hours are 7am - 10am for breakfast, 12.30m – 2.30pm for lunch and 7.30pm – 10pm for dinner.
Lounge Bar - The lounge menu is available all day, serving hot food until 11pm, and cold snacks thereafter. Coffee and delicious afternoon teas with home-made scones are also offered to tempt visitors and guests throughout the year. A spacious hotel lounge bar has just been completed. It adjoins the Lakes restaurant and provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for pre-dinner drinks or coffee, or just a great area for relaxation at any time of the day. Comfortable soft leather tub chairs surround a superb central open fireplace which burns sweet-smelling apple wood from the Peake family’s farm.

Gymnasium - The state-of-the-art air-conditioned gymnasium is equipped with the very latest Technogym "Excite" range of cardiovascular equipment; each station has a touch-screen TV offering numerous TV and radio channels, as well as a DVD option so you can watch your favourite movie whilst working out! Alternatively you can enjoy the stunning lake view outside the windows. The superb Technogym Biostrength resistance equipment also uses the same microchip key technology as the Excite range. New to the gym is the revolutionary "Cardiowave" cross trainer which has to be experienced to be believed. A short induction is necessary for guests who wish to use the gym during their visit, the gymnasium is complimentary for the duration of your stay.
Peake Spa - The recently extended Spa, opened by British Olympic Swimmer Karen Pickering MBE, now offers an excellent range of state-of-the-art, as well as exotic, facilities. A luxurious indoor 18 metre pool with adjacent steam room, sauna, Concept Shower and Jacuzzi, provides the focal centre for Peake Spa and has a Classical Italian theme. On hot summer days guests can relax and sunbathe on the open air poolside terrace which offers views of beautiful Suffolk countryside. For those guests with less time on their hands there is a fast tan solarium within the complex.

The exotic Rasoulâ mud therapy experience is based on the ancient Egyptian practice of detoxifying and exfoliating the skin with purifying muds whilst guests sit in a special herbal steam room different colours and strengths of muds are applied to different parts of the body. This is a popular therapy for couples or groups of friends as the starlit suite accommodates up to 4 guests for each session. The Hammam is another ancient therapy which offers the most exquisite treatments and body wraps imaginable, designed to exfoliate and nourish the skin, whilst the guest lies on a hot stone bed within a gently-lit mosaic-tiled suite.
