Here live music was played in the evenings by a group of fiddlers and the resin used to oil their bows was known as 'rosin', hence the Duke of Wellington became the Old Rosins. Rooms from 123.00 GBP | The Inn at Whitewell adheres to the old fashioned concept of a rural Inn, welcoming to all, providing 23 bedrooms of some glamour, seriously good local ingredients cooked well and a noteworthy selection of drinks.
We aim to offer a relaxed and friendly service, avoiding too much frippery, devoid of snobbery but hopefully providing an experience that is relevant, very enjoyable and not too expensive.
As always we are happy to accommodate pets and children of all ages almost everywhere in the hotel. Such a lot of dogs are now regular customers that the odd cat may prove problematic. The staff are tuned to continue dodging your children as they crawl and dart around but if they become too vocal we would ask you to act quickly and effectively.
