Rooms from 49.00 GBP | The Chateau Impney is a brilliant example of classic French Chateau style architecture with all that it implies in terms of elegance and romance. It was built in 1875 by John Corbett, the Salt King, as a present to his wife, a beautiful French governess. Corbett fell in love with her during a visit to Paris and as both had been enchanted by Versailles and the French Chateaux in the Loire Valley they decided to build their own palace in England. Corbett, son of a wealthy bargee from Staffordshire, at the age of 28 bought the derelict salt works at Stoke Prior, just outside Droitwich Spa. With his engineering skill he was able to turn his business into an extremely profitable company, producing 160,000 tones of salt per annum, and amassing a great personal fortune. Three thousand men toiled on the construction of the building creating the magnificent mansion and park that is today the Chateau Impney. They totally transformed the landscape creating 155 acres of parkland, building lakes, waterfalls and tropical gardens and planting over 3000 varieties of trees, many of which are evident today in their full glory. All this they completed in a style typical of the great French houses. Today the Chateau is one of the premier hotels in the Heart of England specialising in conferences, banquets and exhibitions for customers seeking a venue with a style all of its own. It is independently owned and operated and is the life-work of its management team.
Two major conference suites, the Elizabethan and Royal, accommodate 250 and 350 delegates respectively and are linked to the Chateau by a subterranean walkway. These suites are supplemented by additional smaller meeting rooms and also the Syndicate Centre which has eight separate meeting rooms in one purpose built facility.
Jason's Carving Room Restaurant and the Corbett Tavern Lounge Bar are on the lower ground floor, although most conferences dine privately in the elegant atmosphere of the French Suite. Bedrooms are located in the main hotel, the annexe building Impney Court and Impney Apartments. |

We treat all our visitors as individuals and hope they all enjoy their visit enough to tell others.
The Stag at Redhill has a long and distinguished history; it started life as Stratford's courtroom and jail, very evident when you walk around and see the original cell door and many of the original cell windows cast in iron.
Now The Stag is a traditional Inn, the original features have been preserved as best they could. We have a traditional bar and coal fires in the winter. Our Carvery is available on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday lunch times as well as our full menu and Specials Boards.
The menu is just as welcoming. Whether it's dinner for two or more, a relaxed Sunday roast or a business lunch, there's something wholesome and delicious to suit. The excellent children's menu will have younger guests licking their lips as well - and there'll be a whole host of special daily menus and themed evenings happening right through the week.
Of course, location counts too and The Stag's couldn't be better. Definitely a rural inn, it rests contentedly in the Warwickshire countryside that has been its home for hundreds of years. Yet it couldn't be easier to find as it sits proudly on the A46 between busy Stratford and sleepy Alcester, hunting this particular stag will be a doddle. Even better, there's plenty of parking as well as ten comfortable rooms that guarantee a relaxed stay.
The Court Room at The Stag is also great venue for conferences. A welcoming tea, coffee and biscuits will start the day. We have a pull down screen, projector and flip boards available for you to use and refreshments can be available throughout the day from a buffet style lunch to a more formal sit down meal. |
