Rooms from 35.00 GBP
Accommodation is in our new Wharf Stream Suite .Our rooms most of which have views over Wytham woods and to the local Eynsham lock and the river Thames. If you like traditional home-cooked food, you'll love The Talbot. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere we offer and you'll find the Talbot easy to find but hard to leave. Steeped in history, The Talbot is a fascinating place where details are recounted in a plaque in the bar. There was a building on this site as long ago as 1376 and the building was originally used as a wharf where goods to be moved down the river were loaded. It has been a pub since at least 1774. In those days it was called The Horse and Jockey but was re-named in 1836 (a talbot is an extinct hound). Arkell's bought the pub in 1997. Today The Talbot is a one-bar pub with a partitioned restaurant area and great care has been taken not to spoil the pub's genuine character whenever it has been modernised. The exposed beams are original, as are many other parts of the building. The best news of all for parents with young children is that The Talbot prides itself on being a pub for all the family. The Bus Stop outside of hotel has a direct route into Oxford every 15 minutes.

Set in the West of Oxford very close to the railway station it is only a ten minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of the city centre or, if you are looking for peace and tranquillity, a two minute walk to the river Thames and the countryside. Originally built as a coaching Inn and taking its name from its proximity to the West Gate of the City of Oxford the Westgate Hotel is owned and operated by a family of professional hoteliers with more than 40 years experience. It is a small friendly, family-run hotel where the aim is to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. Oxford is known as the 'city of the dreaming spires' - a term first coined by poet Matthew Arnold in reference to the gentle spires and harmonious architecture of the city's university buildings. The beauty of the city's colleges and riverside setting, literary links and stunning film and TV locations, shops with local character and music and drama ranging from candlelit evensong in college chapels to Shakespeare in the park - these ingredients blend with Oxford's lively mix of restaurants, pubs, theatres and tourist attraction to give this historic city its alluring, vibrant and cosmopolitan buzz.

Stag At Redhill, Stratford Upon Avon

Stag At Redhill
Alcester Road, Stratford upon Avon

Rooms from 55.00 GBP
The Stag is a family run business that really does care; we always offer that personal touch to ensure you have a fabulous time; you only have to read our testimonial page to see what people think. We treat all our visitors as individuals and hope they all enjoy their visit enough to tell others. The Stag at Redhill has a long and distinguished history; it started life as Stratford's courtroom and jail, very evident when you walk around and see the original cell door and many of the original cell windows cast in iron. Now The Stag is a traditional Inn, the original features have been preserved as best they could. We have a traditional bar and coal fires in the winter. Our Carvery is available on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday lunch times as well as our full menu and Specials Boards. The menu is just as welcoming. Whether it's dinner for two or more, a relaxed Sunday roast or a business lunch, there's something wholesome and delicious to suit. The excellent children's menu will have younger guests licking their lips as well - and there'll be a whole host of special daily menus and themed evenings happening right through the week. Of course, location counts too and The Stag's couldn't be better. Definitely a rural inn, it rests contentedly in the Warwickshire countryside that has been its home for hundreds of years. Yet it couldn't be easier to find as it sits proudly on the A46 between busy Stratford and sleepy Alcester, hunting this particular stag will be a doddle. Even better, there's plenty of parking as well as ten comfortable rooms that guarantee a relaxed stay. The Court Room at The Stag is also great venue for conferences. A welcoming tea, coffee and biscuits will start the day. We have a pull down screen, projector and flip boards available for you to use and refreshments can be available throughout the day from a buffet style lunch to a more formal sit down meal.
