Originally, built in the 1880s as a private hunting lodge, for Laird Macintosh of Macintosh, the property has been sensitively added to over the years and extensively refurbished. Today, the Lodge can be described as classically luxurious with modern amenities, to meet standards of even the most demanding guest.
The views from the Mountain Room Bedrooms at the front of the hotel, more so from the Nevis View restaurant, are unparallel in local dramatic beauty with panoramas down the Spean Valley, to the Nevis Range and one of it's famous peaks Aonach Mor.
The hotel can be described as a small luxury hotel, nestled in some of the most dramatic scenery in the centre of the Scottish Highlands.
