At the Stair Arms you can be assured of a warm welcome, a relaxed atmosphere and good food, with a Scottish flavour. Set in the open countryside in the midst of rich Lothian farmland, between Edinburgh and the Borders, it is a natural stopping off point. The restaurant has an extensive menu featuring predominantly Scottish produce - Aberdeen Angus beef, borders lamb and fresh Lothian chicken, complimented by fresh fish and shellfish from Scotland's seas, and Tay Salmon and Highland venison when in season. All the bedrooms are individually designed and decorated. They are spacious rooms, with coloured televisions, tea and coffee making facilities.
