Famous for her marriage to Henry VIII, her large dark eyes were often prominent in descriptions of Anne. She used them, and the fascination they aroused, to her advantage. | | | We are a small family run business with 12 bedrooms, each of which has individual character. Harmondsworth Hall is a large 17th century grade II listed building, with charming character, set in a small peaceful village with two pubs and a 12th century church, which is mentioned in the doomsday book.
The Hall is in an ideal location, situated only 7 minutes drive from Heathrow Airport, and yet not on the flight path. Harmondsworth village is in close proximity to the M25 and M4 motorways, and has easy access to central London via road and by London underground train. The nearest tube station is Heathrow terminals 1, 2 & 3. Royal Windsor is also only a short drive away. In Harmondsworth Village itself, there is a small country park which offers nice walks
All 12 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, even the two single bedrooms. In each room there is a television, tea and coffee making facilities and a telephone which can be used to make direct dial calls to outside lines, both national and international. Guests who bring their own laptop computers can connect to broadband internet using either a wired or wireless connection. This is available free of charge in every bedroom. For those guests who do not have a laptop, there is an internet connected computer in the guest lounge available to all, this is also free of charge. Guests can use the computer in the lounge to check-in for flights and then print out their boarding passes.
All room rates are quoted inclusive of breakfast. Our breakfast room is equipped with an espresso coffee machine and water cooler. Guest can help themselves to coffee, orange juice and a wide selection of cereals before having a full English breakfast accompanied by fresh toast. We offer a limited room service until 9pm for light snack and drinks. However most guests choose one of the two village pubs for dinner. Alternatively, a good 10-15 min walk away, there is both a high quality Chinese restaurant and a Mc Donald's restaurant which has a garden. There are also numerous restaurants that will deliver to Harmondsworth Hall and menus are available in the hallway. Guest are welcome to eat their meals in the dining room or their rooms and to use crockery from the dining room.
We have both on and off-road parking facilities where guests can leave their cars overnight. For guests travelling abroad who wish to leave their cars, we have a small secure gated car park. However we do charge for this service, but our rates are very competitive compared to other airport parking services. As a guide we charge £5 per day per car, this includes the cost of transfers to and from the airport. For periods of more than two weeks we can offer a lower rate.
Our local taxi company is LHR. They are reasonably priced, know where we are and will pick you up from the Airport within 10-20 minutes of you calling them. Their number is: 01895 444333. We would also advise that it is better to call the local taxi from the airport on arrival rather than hail a black cab from the airport taxi rank as they are more expensive and are not always familiar with how to get to Harmondsworth Hall. LHR will charge approx £7.50 to and from terminals 1,2,& 3 and £8.50 to and from Terminal 4
We now offer a car valeting service, so if you want to return from your holiday to a clean car we can arrange for your car to be valeted in our secure car park shortly before your return. If you are staying overnight and would like your car valeted during your stay, we can also arrange that for you. Prices are from £15 - £50 depending on your requirements.
We have good transport links with central London via the Piccadilly line from Heathrow airport or West Drayton mainline train station and Paddington station in London. Both Heathrow and West Drayton are a 10 min drive from Harmondsworth Hall. It is also possible to get a bus to Windsor.
Harmondsworth Hall with its quiet, yet convenient position, is an ideal venue for a business meeting or training course. The meeting room can seat 10-12 delegates, we can arrange telephone, fax and wireless internet facilities ect. We have wireless broadband throughout Harmondsworth Hall. Catering can be tailor-made to suit your requirements. |
