| Dragon Inn High Street, Crickhowell
|
Rooms from 45.00 GBP | Walks can begin from the Dragon Inn and these might include Table Mountain, Llangattock Mountain and the Monmouth and Brecon Canal. Most walks are quite reasonable in terms of the effort required.
The Beacons and Black Mountains are generally grassy rolling hills rather than arid, rocky peaks. But be warned, mountain weather changes quickly and the Beacons are the SAS's main training ground - so you can make it as difficult as you like.
Welcome to the Dragon Inn Crickhowell - A Visit Wales 3-Star Historic Inn. The Dragon is a very old hostelry located on the High Street. The town is regarded as a jewel of the Brecon Beacons / Black Mountains National Park. Nestling in the gorgeous Usk valley, Crickhowell is surrounded by mountains and comprises a Norman castle and a collection of early Georgian houses and cottages. It's a beautiful spot and a perfect base for adventures in the National Park.
In addition to walking, cycling and motor touring, the park offers pony trekking, hang gliding, sailing, canoeing, fishing, shooting, golf and many natural and historical attractions. The latter include waterfalls, fortresses, ancient abbeys, canals and mountain railways.
