A family-owned hotel, The Greyhound Hotel has been sympathetically restored by Robert Eggleston to provide an easy-going charm and welcoming atmosphere.
Guests can expect a warm welcome to this Grade II listed building and enjoy superb professionally home-cooked food in the Restaurant or an intimate candle-lit dinner in the Vaults Italian Bistro. Our separate lounge bar serves real ale as well as a wide variety of bar snacks and full meals. The Greyhound hotel offers 34 en-suite bedrooms all individually decorated to a high specification. We offer conference and meeting facilities as well as catering for parties, celebrations and weddings.
Historically, Lutterworth has always been at the centre of the English transport network. For centuries, there were a number of coaching inns. Today, The Greyhound Coaching Inn and Hotel is the only Lutterworth hotel to keep up a centuries old tradition. The Greyhound stands in the centre of Lutterworth in Market Street and is close to a variety of shops and the towns' Market Place. The Lutterworth market has been held every Thursday since an initial grant was made by King John to Nicholas de Verdun in 1214.
The hotel is ideally situated on J20 of the M1 with easy and convenient access to the M1, M6, A14, A5 and A50 as well as to the towns of Rugby, Coventry, Leicester, Hinckley, Market Harborough and Birmingham. The NEC is only 30 minutes from the hotel.
The 18th century Courtyard with its 40 ft underground well provides a charming ambience and entrance way to the Greyhound. Behind the hotel is a car park for 60 cars.
