Rooms from 70.00 GBP | Located at the "Heart of Islay", Bridgend Hotel offers excellent facilities for the more discerning traveller. Opened a century and a half ago we aim to provide the original Islay experience to all our patrons, with friendly, warm, and personal service to anyone staying with us at the hotel, as well as non-residents dining in our restaurant or enjoying a drink in one of our bars.
The Hotel is an ideal base for touring or business. We're certain we can offer our guests a memorable stay. A stay at the hotel comes with free access to Islay Estates famously fertile trout fishing, with boats on several lochs including the renowned Loch Gorm and the historic Loch Finlaggan, once the seat of power of the Lords of the Isles.
Each of our eleven bedrooms are individually appointed, offering en-suite facilities, Sky digital, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities.
Whenever possible Bridgend Hotel strives to use fresh, local ingredients in its dishes, whether it's vegetables from our own garden; game, venison, partridge, woodcock and pheasants (all subject to season) from Islay Estates, or a variety of produce from other local businesses.
Our local bar is named after our retired 80 year old barmaid Katie. It features a lively local atmosphere, darts and pool, a widescreen television, a beer terrace, and an informal surrounding for lunches and dinners. We serve local ales, a selection of cocktails, and single malts both in the bar and on our beer terrace.
Bridgend Hotel has years of experience of catering for weddings and other special occasions. Our staff are passionate about creating your special day, and making it a unique and unforgettable experience. In addition to the dining room and lounge areas, our beautiful and idyllic gardens offer the perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs. You can trust us with your wedding.
Our Hotel is ideally suited to hosting small private events and functions in a private environment. Our dining room area can be easily used to hold meetings and presentations, private dinners and formal parties. In the past we've held small scale events such as tea-parties and local seafood dinners. You can rest assured that we will try our utmost to accommodate you no matter what your needs. |
