Whether you need to rest those weary feet after a long walk through the Wolds, you’re attending a wedding locally, or you’re a business person who needs a friendly place to stay the accommodation on offer at The Fox is well within your reach.
We have 12 letting rooms each en-suite with tea/coffee, TV, free wifi and all the other home comforts you would expect.
The rooms are a mixture of doubles, singles, twins and family but we do try to oblige any reasonable requests.
You can stay for a night or two, but you can also stay on a medium to long term basis if that is what’s needed.
Breakfast is served each morning in the restaurant and offers a full choice of cereals, toast, full English, juice and hot drinks. Just what you need before going out to explore the beautiful countryside surrounding the pub.
The Bar
In our bar area you will find original beams and two original fireplaces which are a warming sight on any cold wintery day. These set the atmosphere of an inviting and friendly pub where all are welcome.
As a CAMRA pub, alongside the usual types of lager and bitter you will find regularly changing guest ales to suit all taste buds. For those who prefer the grape to the grain we have an extensive wine list, which offers wines from both the new and old world producers.
If you’re feeling hungry, we offer a lunchtime and daily menu in the bar full of good quality, locally sourced food. Our lunchtime sandwiches are very popular and a great rivalry exists among our chefs as to whose sandwich is the current favourite with our customers.
Children of all ages are welcomed both in the bar and the restaurant. We have a special children’s menu and a good supply of colouring pages and pencils to keep those little ones amused while you can enjoy our food, drink and hospitality.
Well behaved dogs are permitted in the bar area, we just ask that you respect our other customers when bringing your dogs in. |

The guest accommodation is situated in the Inn courtyard and consists of five well-appointed en-suite rooms. A variety of rooms are available including doubles, a family room, disabled friendly room and twin bedroom. All our rooms have colour TV plus tea and coffee making facilities. The Star Inn also offers visitors traditional food and a wide variety of beverages. Perfectly situated for walkers, The Wolds Way is near by. Fishing trips, speed boat and pleasure boat rides are available from Bridlington Harbour.
Golf enthusiasts and beginners are welcome at The Links golf course where you can grab a superb lunch at The Viking restaurant. Guests looking for outdoor pursuits can find windsurfing at South Shore and sailing activities at Wilsthorpe beaches.
Other local attractions include Sewerby Hall, gardens and zoo (the ideal day out for the kids). On rainy days, take a visit to John Bull's Rock Factory or the Harbour Museum.
