Dating back to the 17th century this former farmhouse has been sympathetically converted and extended to the comfortable country hotel as it is known today; blending modern facilities with traditional hospitality whilst retaining many of the original features.
Situated in the middle of the Lake District National Park at the foot of the Langdale Valley just a few miles from Windermere and Ambleside, the hotel is on the doorstep to a wealth of activities including walking, cycling and sailing or visit the historic houses of Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter and Ruskin. Families with children and well behaved dogs are welcome.
Guests have a choice of superking deluxe, double, twin or single bedrooms with ensuite bath and/or shower as well as 2 family rooms and a ground floor suite offering partial disabled facilities.
All bedrooms are individually furnished and most have lovely views over the fells, open countryside and the river Brathay.
There is also WiFi access available in the reception rooms.
