The George Hotel was established in 1699, but there has been an inn on the site for over 600 years. Previously the town hall of Battle, the George building was once a military court during the Napoleonic wars. All of our rooms are en-suite, with television and tea making facilities. Full English breakfast is served freshly cooked between 7:00 and 9:00am. Continental breakfast can also be served in your room by prior arrangement. The hotel is popular with wedding parties and tours, being within 5 minutes walk of picturesque Battle Abbey. Battle itself provides a great choice of restaurants and shops, while the seaside towns of Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea are less than 20 minutes drive away. Battle station also provides an excellent rail link to London, with direct access from Charing Cross and London Bridge stations. Please note that the hotel has no lift.
