I called on Tuesday to ask about accommodation in Newcastle upon Tyne for a trip I am making in November to see my mother who is in a care home there. The phone was answered by (I think from the subsequent order) Emma: she was very quick in finding hotels and contacting them and she explored several possibilities with extraordinary speed and great courtesy. I don’t remember ever having such speedy and helpful service when booking a hotel either in Britain or in the US and I decided afterwards that in future I will go directly to Infotel (if possible) to look for accommodation when I’m coming to the UK. (I found your service indirectly, through the web).

"No but it would be nice if the hotel staff could trace your booking when you ring to confirm time of arrival at hotel. I talked to you representative this morning she told me the best rate she was quoted by the Camelot hotel in Plymouth was 52.00 for a one night on 13 the of August. I explained that I was recommended your firm by several friends that had booked through you and they had been quoted £45.00 for that night. The person then traced these people and said she would go back to the hotel and try and get me the same deal. When I got home tonight low and behold she had contacted the hotel and got them to reduce the price from £52 to £45, the same as the other people. I felt I was treated as a very valued customer even though I personally have not used your services before. I do not remember who I spoke to but the way she handled my booking was excellent and I appreciate that she took on board what I told her and was able to get the same rate for me. If you can trace the person who dealt with my booking please thank her very much for all the effort she put into my booking and I will be certainly recommending to both my friends and the charity I work for as they often arrange conferences that need accommodation or large one day meetings. Thank you very much for your brilliant service."

Just a quick word about a couple of hotels recommended to me recently:-
Crown & Horns, East Ilsey, just of A34 near Newbury. - Great secluded village hotel. Fabulous food with great beer. A very welcoming place, thank you.
Ruskin Hotel, Harrogate - Surprisingly, this is a real hidden gem of a place. Superb Victorian house with original charms. Family owned and run. The realy important part is that it is about 200m from the conference centre and all the town centre attractions, so very good for exhibitions. Just leave the car there and walk.
By the way, I love the quick and efficient service. I don’t use any other booking Company now. Rates are competative, hotels are good and block bookings can be handled easily. Fantastic. Your Company saves me hours of ‘surfing’, phoning and confirming. Your number is always recommended to friends and colleagues.
