Formerly the vicarage for the unique twin towered Church of St Mary's, this elegant Cotswold stone hotel is set in 7.5 acres on the outskirts of the Saxon Village of Purton. Although surrounded on all sides by rolling Wiltshire farmland the hotel is easily accessible to London, Heathrow and Bristol being only four miles from Junction 16 of the M4. It is also less than five miles from the centre of Swindon and the railway station. (Swindon - Paddington 55 minutes). The Conservatory Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy Alan Postill's award winning British food.
Each of the individually decorated rooms is named after a character from the village of Purton - for example Anne Hyde the mother of Queen Mary and Queen Anne, Nevil Maskelyne the fifth Astronomer Royal and E.H.Budd the cricketer. They all have a bowl of fresh fruit, sherry, CD player, safe, home made biscuits, six digital TV channels and many have spa baths. The whole hotel has free wireless Internet connection.
