The Cosmopolitan is one of the oldest Hotels in Leeds.
The hotel has been constantly up graded and refurbished with modern decor and facilities to keep pace with the modern traveller. We have recently completed the £1.2 million refurbishmet of all public areas and bedrooms. The Cosmopolitan restaurant and bar is now the place to be seen in Leeds.
The hotel is located in the heart of Leeds business and shopping area.
The hotel is ideally suited to both business and leisure travellers. All bedrooms are en-suite with satellite television, tea and coffee making facilities, free wireless broadband connection, dvd/cd player, dressing gown(midweek only), duvets and 24 hour room service.
All public areas have free Broadband wireless connection, as do of our guest bedrooms.
The Cosmopolitan Restaurant seats over 120 guests and our menu has dishes to suit all tastes and budgets, alongside an exellent range of beverages including a 49 bin wine list and cocktails.
The hotel has three function rooms catering for up to 120 delegates and with private bar facilities, all function rooms have natural light and air conditioning.
Wharf Bar - The Wharf Bar is the ideal place to enjoy an aperitif or after dinner drink and at lunchtime offers a good selection of hot or cold bar snacks.
Wharf Restaurant - The Wharf Restaurant offers an excellent table d'hote or a la carte menu with a good selection of fine wines in friendly, relaxing surroundings.
Conference Facilities - Our three function rooms are located on the ground floor and offer excellent multi-purpose facilities for 10 to 110 delegates.
Accommodation - There are 89 exceptionally well appointed rooms all with private bath and shower, remote control TV and radio, hospitality tray, direct dial telephone and trouser press. The majority of rooms are secondary glazed for extra comfort and have ceiling fans to provide for air circulation.
Traveling
Leeds Rail Station: 5 minutes' walk.
M621 (junction 3): 1.5 miles.
Leeds/Bradford Airport: 10 miles from the M1/M62.
By car:
- Follow signs for the M621 and Leeds city centre.
- Exit at junction 3 and follow signs for Leeds city centre.
- Follow the one way system for approximately one mile, passing Bewleys Hotel on your left-hand side.
- Continue for the city centre. At the next set of traffic lights the road splits. Take the right-hand lane and follow the road to the right (Asda house will be on your left).
- At the next lights turn left, cross Leeds Bridge and you will see the hotel directly ahead.
- Turn left at the traffic lights and the hotel is located immediately on your right (Swinegate).
From the A1:
- Exit onto the A64 (York) and follow signs for Leeds.
- On the inner ring road flyover turn left, signposted M1 and M62, continuing until you reach the city centre loop.
- Follow signs for city centre, passing Leeds Parish Church on you left. The road curves to the left and you will approach traffic lights.
- Follow the road round and at the 2nd set of lights cross over. The hotel is on your right (on the city centre loop road).
The parking bay opposite the hotel is for drop off only. The car park for the hotel is called Q Park and is a further 150 meters down the road (Swinegate) located on the left-hand side of the road, just past Bibis restaurant. Please note that this is a multi-storey car park and not the adjacent Q park which is a flat, uncovered car park.
On departing the hotel please ask for a voucher that will ensure on leaving the car park that overnight charges are deducted. The hotel covers all overnight charges between 17:00 and 09:00 only.
