42 The Calls is a 18th Century riverside corn mill converted into a boutique hotel. From the beamed ceilings with their original Mill mechanism, to the handmade beds, and the extensive collection of original paintings and drawings, friendly touches such as homemade shortbread and fudge, 42 The Calls has crafted each room to a unique character.
Everywhere are signs of the building's previous life as a corn mill. Some walls are hung with photographs of the mill during its conversion; many rooms feature large mill windows with wooden shutters; others have remnants of the mills pulleys, wheels and girders in the ceilings and walls; and one room having a seating area that is overhang the water’s edge.
