The 16th Century building is distinguished by its Georgian additions, most notably the famous façade, and by earlier Stuart interior embellishments. For the more energetic the gymnasium offers a wide range of up-to-date equipment under the supervision of fully qualified instructors. The outdoor heated pool (open in season) is a natural sun trap.
Sharing the Estate is Hintlesham Golf Club which has one of the finest courses in East Anglia. The 18 hole par 72 layout includes the special challenges of the signature 4th and 17th holes, the latter beinbg part of the best finishes in the region. Accurate tee-bookings create a harmonious system for the club's members and for visiting players who are made most welcome. The Pro Shop can provide any equipment required and lessons can be booked.
