"Situated in a delightful corner on the edge of Exmoor, this friendly hotel is a welcoming sight for the weary traveller. My room was spacious and comfortable, overlooking what I expected to be a quiet side street. My peace was shattered for a large part of the night by a posse of workmen, reversing trucks and machines sounding like they were demolishing the town right outside my window. By morning they were gone and no evidence that they were ever there! I was placated by a generous and tasty breakfast."

SHORT LISTED FOR THE PUBLICAN FOOD & DRINK AWARD 2008. A traditional Coaching Inn in the centre of Wiveliscombe, only 11 miles from Taunton and on the edge of Exmoor. The White Hart is an ideal venue for both business and pleasure. A privately owned 16-bedroom hotel dating back over 350 years. The White Hart changed ownership in 2004 and has undergone major refurbishments in 2005, sympathetically blending old with the new. Standing in the square of the Old Town of Wiveliscombe, the hotel offers ensuite accommodation, a popular restaurant and bar menu, and genial atmosphere.
