"This hotel was in a very good location, excellent value for money, for room and also food and drink. The only complaint I have is that they didn't have any Stella and the other beers were not to my liking. Apart from that I would recommend this hotel as excellent value for money."

Hotel Description
The Duke of Wellington was built in the 17th-century as a traditional coaching inn and posting house. The hotel is conveniently situated in the centre of Minehead. Minehead is a bustling seaside town with attractions to suit a large range of people. It is home to West Somerset Steam railway which runs several steam trains throughout the day over the summer period. Minehead is also famously home to the family amusement park Butlins for which any of our guests could visit upon purchasing a day pass. Minehead is situated on the north coast of Somerset boasting some fabulous sea views. It is also known as "The Gateway to Exmoor ". The Duke of Wellington is made up of a traditional Wetherspoon pub, a Lloyds No. 1 Bar and a Wetherspoon Hotel . We offer an extensive menu served between 7am and 10pm (from 8am Saturday and Sunday) . The Lloyds No. 1 bar is on the side of the hotel and is open until 2.30am on Friday and Saturday. Some rooms may experience some noise from Lloyds. If you would prefer a quieter room please advise when making your reservation.
