Hotel Description
At the end of an avenue of lime trees you will find the other World of Langar Hall. This unique country house hotel and restaurant in the Vale of Belvoir is just 12 miles from the city of Nottingham. Langar Hall is a true original - stubbornly English, deliciously stylish and quietly eccentric. The house you see today was built in 1837 on the site of a great 18th Century Hall, the home of Admiral Lord Howe. Unfortunately that great building was demolished by fire in the early 19th century. The twelve well appointed en-suite bedrooms vary in size & character. They are named after people from Langar's history or whose rooms they once were. All rooms have direct dial telephone, digital TV with free view, wifi for computers, desks for working, trays for tea and coffee and modern bathrooms. Expect big beds, pretty fabrics, great views and tons of style. Expect fresh seasonal food, locally sourced or home grown, simply cooked at this popular neighbourhood restaurant where locals and travellers enjoy the friendly ambience and the best value meals and wine in the area. Lovely for Lunch. Perfect for Parties. Delightful for Dinner in the romantic pillared dining room. Families with young children may relax in their own space when they come for Sunday lunch. Afternoon tea and light dishes are served in the Garden Room. Parties of 10-20 have their own private dining room. It is advisable to book although 'walk-ins' are seldom turned away. The Indian Room is a favourite place for groups of up to 14 seated comfortably at a table. Theatre-style can take-up to 20 delegates with room for conference equipment. The Library is also used as an ideal room for small or intimate meetings. You may start the day with coffee and bacon sandwiches then break for a quick lunch in the main dining room. Groups staying the night may like to dine in the study for their private dinner.
