The Red Lion dates back some 300 years with exposed beams, open fires and a traditional feel. We pride ourselves on giving our customers a genuinely warm welcome. Guest ales are changed weekly and we stock a good range of wines available by the glass or bottle. Happy hour is early evening every day, always popular, with most draft lagers, ciders and bitters available at £2 a pint. Along with money off selected soft drinks and wines.
We believe that a successful pub is defined by four things - friendly service, great food, good atmosphere and fantastic regulars. Great food should not cost as much as it so often does, so we have a reasonably priced menu with further special offers on two courses and smaller portion dishes. Using seasonal ingredients from local producers, cooked by ourselves in our own kitchens is, in our opinion the best way to ensure you enjoy eating with us, visit again and tell your friends. All our dishes are homemade, this is often claimed, but rarely delivered.
