The Royal Victoria and Bull Hotel is a 400 year old coaching inn located in Rochester, a city of immense historic interest, ideally situated for exploring local points of interest such as the cathedral, the castle, the Roman ruins and the Dickens Museum.
Originally called The Bull, the hotel acquired its present name after a visit by Queen Victoria in 1836. The hotel was regularly frequented by Charles Dickens, and is mentioned in several of his novels. Much of the original hotel is preserved, including a fine staircase, the entrance hall and the ballroom.
