Situated on the Hertfordshire and Essex border, in the beautiful village of Hatfield Heath, Down Hall is surrounded by 110 acres of woodland, parkland and landscaped gardens. On approach via a winding and impressive drive up to the hotel, you are greeted by a stunning honey coloured Italianate mansion with a beautifully decorated Romanesque façade. The front entrance of which leads into a grand interior, shows off the high ornate ceilings, natural light and picturesque views of the gardens, typically characteristic of a building of that era.

By Road from the North -
Exit junction 8. M11. Take A1250 towards Bishop Stortford town centre. Turn left at traffic lights to Hatfield Heath (A1060). Down Hall is approximately 6 miles on A1060 Chelmsford Road. At Hatfield Heath keep left, turn right into lane opposite Huneters Meet Restaurant and left at the end following sign post.
By Road from the South -
Exit Junction 7, M11 (London to Cambridge). Take A414 towards Harlow. At fourth roundabout follow B183 towards Hatfield Heath. After approximately 5 miles bear right - signposted "Down Hall"
By Rail -
From London's Liverpool Street Station take the Cambridge or Bishops Stortford (approximately 45 minute journey). Then take a taxi to Down Hall (10 minutes). Underground connections at Liverpool Street and Tottenham Hale Stations.
By Air
Stansted Airport is 9 miles from Down Hall (15 minutes by taxi).
