It is thought the Grange Lodge Hotel was built as a private house, in about 1815 using the profits made from privateering. It stayed in the same hands until purchased by the Mansell family in the 1930's. From this time it was run as a hotel apart from a five-year break during the German Occupation. With three acres of extensive gardens, 11 self-catering flats, an outdoor heated swimming pool (open from Easter until October) the hotel is an ideal place to relax. A varied menu is available in the restaurant and a bar menu in lounge bar plus its closeness to the town this family run hotel could not be more appealing.

We are about 15 minutes` walk to the harbour and are on the main bus route. Even though we are so close to the town centre, we have three acres of extensive gardens to the rear of the hotel, where our self-catering flats are situated, along with an outdoor heated swimming pool.
Our lounge bar offers a fantastic menu every lunch time and every evening except Sunday nights. Children are welcome and there is a large car park.
