Perched on a wooded river bank just outside the ancient moorland stannary town of Chagford.
Walk for miles along the river bank from right outside the hotel, before returning to log fires, hot baths, fine dining, candle-light and good company.
All fifteen bedrooms are individually styled, well-equipped, quiet and comfortable. All have lovely views, either over the front lawn and the countryside beyond, or over our leafy rear gardens which run down to the riverbank.
Our intimate and stylish fine-dining restaurant offers a daily-changing menu, focusing on seasonal, local produce.
Dogs are very welcome at Mill End, and we have a well equipped boot-room complete with dog towels for drying off your canine companion after a bracing walk or a paddle in the river.
Traveling
We are in the middle of nowhere, but very easy to find! We are five minutes from the main A30 dual carriageway - take the Whiddon Down junction from the A30, signposted Moretonhampstead and Chagford, follow the A382 towards Moretonhampstead. After five minutes you'll pass the Sandy Park pub, cross the river bridge, and you'l see us there on the right. We are 25 minutes from Exeter (and Exeters' railway stations and airport).
