Coming down the hill on your approach to Hartland Quay Hotel you may well be in awe of quite what you have come across, but we are certain that when you have to go home again, you will be looking forward to the next time that you will see that sight. Situated at the bottom of a steep hill, this fantastic place is steeped in history.
The main building has been a hotel since 1886, but in days gone by it has been among other things, a bank, an oast house and the bar was the stables. Above the bar were the corn and hay lofts, which are now some of the bedrooms.
The hotel has a large dining room offering table d’hote evening meals and a hearty english breakfast. There is a peaceful residents lounge to contemplate the day ahead and a public bar to enjoy a meal, take in the view or escape the wind!
