Nent Hall was built as a private house by the owners of a mine, who had the good fortune in 1814, to strike silver as well as a rich vein of lead in their mine. Now extensively refurbished, Nent Hall is situated 2 miles east of Alston in the North Pennines Area of outstanding natural beauty, where the air is pure and clear, and the night sky is a view second to none. You can walk along the banks of the River Nent, or walk up to several vantage points, where the whole of the valley lies beneath.
Whether looking for a quiet country retreat for some R&R between business meetings, an Awards Dinner with live entertainment or a full-scale, unconventional, fully customized teambuilding event, Nent Hall Country is the place to be. Nent Hall provides the perfect base from which to explore Cumbria, described as England's last wilderness.
