"I had a very pleasant stay at the Angel, the staff were really friendly and attentive. The room was fine, I've been in better, but it was a very acceptable room for the price. My one issue with the hotel was the reception desk, it was also a serving point at the bar and it took some time to get checked into my room. However I did arrive at 7pm on a Friday so I certainly could have timed it better, but I would recommend that the Angel should refuse to serve people who order drinks at the area labelled "hotel reception". This would hopefully highlight when someone is actually checking in."

Hotel Description
Old coaching Inn situated in the heart of the town centre. The hotel has been refurbished throughout and boasts both excellent standard room and superior rooms with additional flat-screen televisions and Jacuzzi baths. For families this location is ideal. Family rooms have adjoining door to next room and can sleep up to three children. Tariffs are quoted on a room only basis with full English breakfast at just £6.95 per person. Dine in comfort and style in our friendly bar restaurant with a wide choice of freshly prepared dishes. All meals are excellent value for money. The hotel also has a function rooms for meetings and private parties up to 80 people.
