The Crown & Punchbowl, originally an old coaching inn dating back to 1764, is now a modern restaurant and small hotel or as we prefer to call it “A restaurant with rooms”. Our seasonal traditional English menus encompass only the finest ingredients, sourced, where possible, from local suppliers, prepared with passion and served with pride. The restaurant boasts a private dining area to seat up to 18 in privacy, style and comfort and a conservatory where overnight guests take breakfast.

In addition we have a thriving and expanding outside catering business specialising in weddings, parties, anniversaries and corporate events. We are principal caterers to Tattersalls and accredited caterers to the University of Cambridge, regularly providing high end catering for the Vice Chancellor amongst others.

The Crown & Punchbowl has five 5 first floor double en-suite rooms for single or double occupancy with prices starting at £74.95 and £94.95 per night respectively. This includes a cooked breakfast and Vat at the standard rate. Discounts are available for multiple night stays and you should keep an eye on our Facebook page for special offers. All rooms have TV and WIFI, a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. An iron is available upon request.
