Two of the rooms have four-poster beds and all of them have the uneven floorboards and quirky angles that come with age. We have four full-time chefs who create an intriguing menu, which is English at heart including local game, English cheeses, traditional puddings and lamb from the local estate. Some menu items and daily specials will represent the chefs' selection from the rest of the world and may include dishes from the Mediterranean and the Far East. As you would expect from an establishment where good dining is such a high priority, we also have a choice of well kept real ales, an excellent wine list and a fine range of malt whiskies.
