Bristol is a bustling, vibrant, modern city to visit any time of the year, but a particularly rewarding one to see during the summer months when the city plays host to an intensive program of family-oriented entertainment and events.

Year-round delights in Bristol include the Clifton Suspension Bridge, a striking piece of architecture first opened in 1864 and as much of a marvel today as it was then. Designed by the famous Victorian engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the bridge rests on the cliffs of the Avon Gorge and forms one of the best-known features of Bristol.
