		Joanna Braley (on 14/08/2007) said: "With reference to the Beachfield Hotel in Penzance. I'm sorry to say that the overnight stay could not have been worse. The room was billed as self catering which was, in my opinion, false advertisement as there was a small fridge as the only facility. The room contained a small double bed (I requested a twin), there was literally a six inch space around the bed. The place reeked of damp. The small windows in the room opened up to a large building site. Machinery started up at 7.15 a.m. I tried to complain to the woman manning reception but her English was not very good so I gave up (it was a tiring day and I arrived late, otherwise I would have sought an alternative hotel). The first room I was offered was not cleaned, the bed slept in. The second room didn't have enough pillows for comfort. I do not exaggerate at all and I would hate for someone else to arrive at one of this hotel's lodges, recommended by yourselves, and be as disappointed and inconvenienced as I was. I am amazed that the lodges have a 3 star rating. "
Hotel's Reply:		The Guest Lodge is a budget accommodation with a basic facilities. Lodge IS NOT a part of hotel and hasn't got star rating. Apologies confusion. We will consider to remove Guest Lodge bedrooms off this listing. Staff on 25/08/2007 08:53:06
