Comfortable, the food and service could not have been bettered and the staff was friendly and helpful.
I would have no hesitation is returning to this establishment should the
occasion arise.
I would welcome my comments appearing against the Black Horse so that others
can take advantage of the excellent value.

The Owners are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and evening meals are superbly cooked. The Castle is a 5 min walk away as is the old town. A great place for a break or Holiday."

The rooms were grubby, the sheets and pillows were not fresh there were bloodstains on one duvet and other stains on the sheets, which do not bear thinking about. Two of the 4 rooms had pubic hairs on the sheets in the beds. There was mould in all the showers all the bathrooms stank. The rooms were all cold despite the heating being on and it was not a particularly cold night. All the rooms stank of cigarette smoke. I had to move rooms, as the 1st 1 I could not even walk into the smell was so bad. 1 of the party slept in the car as it was so awful, 2 others slept on top of their beds fully clothed another was going to but the blood stained duvet put him off that idea. Unfortunately all other hotels were booked that night or we would have willingly gone elsewhere. When we reported the sheet issues to the staff they just said they had no spare ones and simply couldn't care and just smiled at us. The spare duvet in my room was dirtier than the dog blankets in the back of my car."
