Tremendous location for exploring Winchester on foot or (30 minutes away) the New forest by car. Talking of cars, the Wykeham Arms car park is tiny with a very tight turn on entry - take extra care."

We spent the night in the Wykeham Arms. Nice room, great night's sleep, wonderful breakfast, fantastic lunch with the best ESB I ever tasted. Great service. Despite some serious competition, our best night in England."

The interior is fascinating, and dining can be at an old school desk or abbey collection table. Food is substantial and delicious, and for those staying the night, breakfast is in the Prefect's Common Room. For those wanting the best of England, this is tops!"

Bathroom cleaning needs a little more attention. Having said all that I would certainly stay again, atmosphere, food and friendliness of staff 100%."
