Our room had had a new door fitted and that was probably why we there were no fire drill instructions there. While the door handles and locks looked to be of good quality, they had been fitted too close to the edge of the door, making it difficult to turn the key in the lock and also to turn the knob door handle. A lever handle would have been easier. The room was clean and tidy but had no hair dryer that I could find. The shower room was freshly tiled but there was no toilet roll holder, nor any shelf on which to put toiletries and the wooden surround on the shower tray did not look fresh.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but the breakfast service could have been a little less casual. (polo shirt and casual trousers don't give the right impression in a hotel)
I am sure once the up grading is complete these things will be addressed."
