In summary the hotel was excellent value for a simple overnight stay reasonable close to Exeter city centre and the motorway."

Dr L Morris (on

The bed was so uncomfortable with a very old, soft, lumpy mattress the springs could be felt through it. I would say it was perhaps the worst nights sleep I have ever had. The sink also made gurgling noises every time a fellow hotel guest used their water, which was somewhat unpleasant. Although not unclean, the bathroom was in dire need of updating and had clearly not been decorated for over 20 years.
Breakfast on Monday morning was equally poor, the croissants were not fresh and had clearly been re-heated. The milk provided for the cereal had black bits in it which I thankfully noticed before I ate any cereal. And the only banana provided was black throughout. At least the carton of yoghurt was in date.

Hotel corridors had a very horrible smell, whilst the food and service was of good quality and great value for money, as a person who stays at hotels twice weekly, I doubt that I would stay at this establishment again unless a major revamp had been carried out on the hotel part of the establishment.
