said: "Hotel is in a good location and was ok for one night, but is in desperate need of updating. There was no proper shower in the room, and the furniture was falling apart! Also there was not a 24hr room service. If you stay here you need to bear in mind that this is not a modern hotel with all the facilities you would expect these days."

said: "Have stayed here many times. The hotel is a bit rough around the edges but I love the history and atmosphere of it. It makes a change of the clinical feel you get from some of the more modern hotels. This time however, room was a bit grubby, ie the bed cover had stains on it and there was a cigarette butt in the toilet!"
