Full English breakfast was big and tasteful. We had it twice in two days. I highly recommend this hotel. If I should come back to Manchester I'd love to stay at the Thistlewood again.
Thank you"

The breakfast merits a special mention - for quality and quantity- but the wonderful service "put the icing on the cake" I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment, and hope to use the hotel again.

We made the Thistlewood our base for 15 nights while visiting the NW of England and are totally satisfied with all aspects of the Hotel and the service provided.
The en-suite room was very good with a very comfortable bed and nice view of the gardens.
The dining room and guest lounge are pure class as were the breakfasts.
The Hotel's greatest attribute is the staff who treated us as family and took the time to talk to us about our daily plans.
We would recommend this hotel to anybody who is visiting Manchester for business or pleasure purposes, or who may be, doing as we did and, using it as a base for touring the area.
Once again thanks to Ian and his Staff for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable.
Marian Moser and Pat Dowling"

Bed was very comfortable. I had a full english breakfast and my wife asked for kippers and received a full plate full. Parking at the back of the hotel was quite secure. I will certainly use this hotel again."

Breakfast was very good.
The only thing that I would comment on was that there was no public bar where you could relax with a pint of draught bitter after a long drive or after the match although I believe there was a bell service where you could buy tins of beer or spirits.
In general the hotel was of good quality.
