The staff were very friendly and polite, particularly Katie who was on duty when I arrived and again next morning at breakfast. She seemed to attend to all the guests with a smile on her face, which is always good to see. She also took an interest in what I was doing - namely watching a wonderful Canadian female group called the Wailin` Jennys at the local Ashcroft Arts Centre. Although I was last down for breakfast, I must say the quality of the food was still excellent. The bar was also open when I arrived at 2pm and stayed open late so I could enjoy a couple of post-gig pints of Tanglefoot (superb ale, well kept). I look forward to staying at the Roundabout Hotel again one day, though as I live in Somerset I am unlikely to visit Fareham on too many occasions. I would recommend it to anyone. "
