Everyone, from the Landlord & Landlady & all other staff were polite, pleasant & well mannered.
The menu was extensive without being too much or complicated, if you wanted something different it was no problem & you could mix & match if that's what you wanted. Breakfast was excellent & really set you up for the rest of the day.
My partner & I stayed here so we could go peak walking, we even thought we might loose a pound or two, but with the portions here there was no chance!!!
We would especially recommend the Steak & Ale pie, just don't have any lunch if you want it for dinner.
Overall we both recommend this friendly, clean hotel as a base if you like walking or visiting the many country homes in the area.
