The Cathedral Hotel is a modern 22 bedroom hotel comprising of a public bar,garden, meeting room and lounge area.
The Cathedral Hotel of four storeys with brick walls and tiled roofs mainly of the19th Century and later, but incorporates nucleus dating from the second halfof the 18th Century. The front five middle bays of the three lower storeysare original. The oak staircase is original and some ground-floor rooms have original wooden dados with fielded panels. The two first-floor rooms are lined with fielded panelling in two heights, with moulded skirting, dado-rails and cornices. In March 2009 it was fully refurbished. Following customer feedback, secondary glazing was added to 20 of the rooms in order to reduce the noise that was heard due to our great location in the heart of Salisbury City .
From Sunday and throughout the week we offer a quiet, relaxed environment which is great as a base for touring the historic city or as a business stop over. At the weekend our bar is a vibrant, lively environment where locals, tourists and visitors alike enjoy great food, watching sport or chatting in friendly surroundings.
On weekend evenings our bar is one of Salisbury ’s most popular venues and opens until 2am , becoming part of the night time circuit. You can unload your luggage directly outside for checking in, after which parking is available just 2 minutes away in Brown Street pay and display with free parking after 6pm until 8am .
Wi-Fi is available in the public areas and in the bedrooms.
You can enjoy breakfast from 7.30 until 10 am Monday to Saturday and from 8 until 10am on Sunday. Food is available until 10pm daily, except on Sunday when it is available until 9pm . Our meeting room is ideal for up to 20 delegates or for private dining.
We have a variation of adjoining rooms to suitfamilies and groups or we have single and double en suite rooms available. We have made lots of minor changes to our offer since opening as and when our guests informed us, as we want to be famous for offering great service and listening to what our guests are requesting of us.
