Cisswood house is set in mature landscaped gardens. It was built for the former chairman of Harrods and his wife. The Hotel contains marvellous wood and plasterwork from the famous London store. Situated in the village of Lower Beeding, Cisswood House Hotel is the perfect country house retreat, whether you flying out of Gatwick Airport or visiting the local area of Horsham and Crawley. Cisswood House is also only 15 minutes from the seaside town of Brighton. Set in acres of mature landscaped gardens, the hotel was built in 1928 for the then chairman of Harrods, Sir Woodman Burbridge and his wife Cissily, and still retains magnificent examples of wood and plaster work created by the craftsmen from the store.
