For centuries the Black Lion has commanded its glorious position overlooking the green at Long Melford under the imposing gaze of the Church. Since at least 1661 guests have enjoyed its fine hospitality. Today that tradition lives on.
The Black Lion offers a range of facilities to suit most requirements from a large wedding to a small banquet, within the main hotel we have a stylish dining room suitable for breakfasts for up to 60 guests, an intimate private drawing room for up to 20 guests and outside a charming Victorian walled garden, the perfect setting for a larger wedding of up to 100 persons using a marquee.
