Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk was once the capital of East Anglia and the town and surrounding area are full of history. This lovely mediaeval market town has a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the year.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE TRAIN STATION:
We are approximately a ½ mile from the train station. Walking down the hill from the station (keeping it on your left), turn left onto Fornham Road and keep walking until you reach the Esso garage. We are behind the walls on the right hand side.
DIRECTIONS FROM LONDON / CAMBRIDGE:
Travel along the A14, leave at exit marked "Bury St Edmunds West (42) B1106 / A1101". At the bottom of the slip road bear left. After approximately 1 mile turn right at the first mini roundabout signposted "Bury St Edmunds A1101" and continue until you reach traffic lights. The entrance to the hotel is immediately on your left, just after the sign behind the flint wall.
DIRECTIONS FROM IPSWICH:
Travel along the A14, leave at exit marked "Bury St Edmunds Central (43) A1302 / A1101". Take first exit signposted "A1101 Mildenhall" and "Town Centre". At the next roundabout take the third exit to "A1101 Mildenhall". Carry on along this road for approximately ¾ of a mile until you reach a set of traffic lights and a Jet petrol station. Stay in the left hand lane, proceed through the lights and the entrance to the hotel is the first on your right hand side behind a flint wall.
