Once a Victorian workhouse, now a beautiful hotel, Brynafon has great character & charm. Set against the dramatic backdrop of Gwastedyn Hill & the Druid's Circle & is a stone's throw from the River Wye & the undiscovered Elan Valley. 20 bedrooms, all are en-suite & vary from standard double and twins, to deluxe, four posters & family rooms & four conference rooms. We can cater for private functions & are licensed for civil marriages. We have a very cosy restaurant & a unique bar which boasts a sunken fish pond running it's length which was once used by vagrants to wash their feet before being allowed into the Workhouse. Leading from the bar is an enclosed courtyard where you can watch 'Red Kites' soaring as they catch the thermals after being fed at the neighbouring Gigrin Farm Feeding Station. Brynafon is open all day for breakfast, morning coffee, bar meals, cream teas, evening dinner & sunday lunch. We pride ourselves on using the freshest produce from local suppliers.
