Beacon Country House

If you are planning to visit the North Yorkshire Moors, then the village of Goathland is ideally placed, whether you want to walk the moors, visit the sea-side, watch steam trains or discover the countless attractions the area has to offer.

The Beacon is a superbly situated, late Victorain residence, built as a substantial country house for a wealthy mill owner.

Situated at one end of Heartbeats' 'Aidensfield', The Beacon nestles comfortably at the rear of the common. Standing adjacent to the church, it sits in its own pleasurable, landscaped grounds of over an acre overlooking fields and open moorland.

Parking is available for all guests in the Beacon's own private car park.

In such an imposing house rooms are spacious, some being panelled or waincoated with appropriate Victorian fittings with a thoughtful mix of old and new it is possible to enjoy present day standards whist still being able to retain the original elegance of the property.

Overlooking the garden is the conservatory where guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast whilst watching the delights of nature. Afterwards you are welcome to relax in the living room to unwind or simply watch TV.

Travelling
The village of Goathland is on a loop road off the A169, which is the Whitby to Pickering road. When entering the village you will find us near the church, set back from the road.
