The Bridge Inn is situated in the centre of picturesque Port Sunlight and is one of the 900 grade II listed buildings contained within this unique village. The building was built by William Hesketh Lever for his soap factory workers and was originally named after his famous Sunlight Soap. It was a temperance hotel until 1903 when the vote was cast and the sale of alcohol was allowed. Aside from its name, the building still retains many of its original features and if you wish to see downstairs with the old servants’ quarters we will be only too happy to oblige!

The village itself has many tourist attractions including The Lady Lever Art Gallery, Port Sunlight Vision and the Gladstone Theatre. Port Sunlight is within easy reach of Chester (30 minutes) or Liverpool (20 minutes), which places the Bridge Inn as an ideal base for exploring these famous cities as well as being en-route to the North Wales countryside.

The hotel has 11 bedrooms all of which feature en-suite bathrooms, a flat-screen Freeview™ TV, tea & coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, iron & ironing board. There is also a work desk and unlimited free Wi-Fi in each of the rooms.

The hotel also features a fully licensed bar and restaurant, located on separate on opposite sides of the building, serving great value meals from an extensive menu throughout the day. A function room is also available, which holds up to 80 people and is ideal for catering for any meeting and event, special occasion or private dining.
